Every Proper Pickguard is hand assembled and fully tested in Cranston, Rhode Island. This mint green 11-hole Stratocaster loaded pickguard comes equipped with our Proper Passive™ tone system and a set of Proper Pickups “South of the Border” single coils from our Everyday Essentials collection.
Proper Passive™ is our proprietary passive Strat wiring platform designed around one idea: give players everything they need and nothing they don’t. No batteries. No gimmicks. No switches everywhere. Just an incredibly musical and responsive control layout that feels alive from 0–10. At lower settings, the system delivers warm, chewy, vocal tones with exceptional clarity and no mud. Wide open, it pushes into gritty, dynamic SRV-style presence and attack while still retaining the natural character of the guitar.
The real magic is in positions 2 and 4. Proper Passive™ was specifically tuned around the interaction of a RWRP middle pickup to create the most usable and dynamic in-between positions you’ll ever play on a Strat. Unlike traditional Strat wiring where 2 and 4 can feel thin or volume-dropped, Proper Passive™ keeps positions 2 and 4 balanced, full, and equally dynamic to positions 1, 3, and 5. It’s the gold standard for simple, elegant Strat wiring that works beautifully at home, in the studio, or on stage.
Every loaded pickguard includes a premium Switchcraft or equivalent output jack, eleven mounting screws, and a full five-year warranty on all electronics. If you ever experience any issues, simply send the pickguard back to us and we’ll take care of it. Built with quality components throughout and designed to drop into most standard 11-hole Strat-style guitars. This fits in my Squier Debut shop guitar with no problem at all.
