1986 Squier Stratocaster Torino Red MIJ ST-362—All Original, Mint!

$725.00

Here’s a mint 1986 MIJ Squier ST-362 Stratocaster in Torino Red and completely original.

This guitar includes the original hardshell case, original tremolo arm, original backplate, and original screws.

The electronics are 100% original with untouched solder joints—nothing has been modified or replaced.

The frets show virtually zero wear and have decades of life left. It also features a very dark rosewood fretboard that looks fantastic against the Torino Red finish.
Cosmetically, this Strat is extremely clean for a 40-year-old instrument.

There are no neck pocket cracks and no noticeable blemishes or dings—only two or three very small marks on the body.

To date, this is the cleanest example of any mid-eighties Strat we’ve sold. For its age, we give this one a solid 94/100. See photos, it’s damn near perfect.

The original hardshell case is also in excellent condition, which contributes to the overall score.

Your guitar will arrive professionally set up. Depending on where you live in the country, you may need to make small adjustments as the instrument settles into your climate.

Proper Instruments

Revolutionizing The S-Type

We don’t just love Strats—we adore them. Proper Instruments redefines the simplicity of Leo’s original design. Most Strats are muddy when the tone controls are below 7. Players just live with it—or add a treble bleed.

That’s child’s play.

Proper Passive is built to be usable from 0–10—you can’t get a bad sound, even at bedroom volumes. 0 starts your journey—JM/BB-style. 10 delivers full SRV bite and presence. Everything in between is there for the taking.

All with no batteries or useless blender controls, Ever.
